“Adur” is a musical duo from Bilbao formed by Naroa Esturo and Xabier Aguado. In addition to “Adur”, they have another band called Head Holes, a four-member rock group. Adur was formed after Head Holes. Besides the rock style, they wanted to explore other musical genres, which led to the creation of “Adur”, a project they themselves classify as “Rave-punk”, incorporating elements inspired by traditional Basque folk music.

However, as soon as they started, they encountered a very common problem among young bands: they had neither a drummer nor a bassist. After searching for a while, they began experimenting with organic sounds using real instruments for 8 or 9 months.
After that period, they decided to move slightly away from the techno style and opted for a more synthetic sound, which led to the creation of “Adur”. In addition, before publishing anything on social media, they emailed all the agencies in the Basque Country to ask for support with their project, and Atiko Stereo was the one who responded.
For the creation of their visual identity, at the beginning of the project they gave some specific guidelines: they wanted their full name to be the main brand, using only black and white colors. For this reason, the main logo is “ADUR”, based on the Myriad typeface, modified to give it a rougher tone that matches their style.

In addition, an isotype was designed to accompany the brand on certain occasions. This isotype was created based on an original image of the group, maintaining the corporate colors —black and white— and incorporating a secondary color: neon blue.
